Porter White & Company is pleased to announce the promotion of Michael Stone to Vice President. Michael joined the firm in January 2011 and is active in the investment banking practice, focusing on mergers and acquisitions (buy-side and sell-side), capital raising, municipal advisory, strategic consulting, business valuations, and distressed situations.
Michael earned his BS in Finance and Operations and Information Management from Georgetown University. He is a CFA Charterholder and earned an Accredited Member (AM) designation with the American Society of Appraisers in the Business Valuation discipline.
Michael is deeply involved with the Birmingham community. He is the chairman of the Parks and Recreation Board of Jefferson County, a member of the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama’s (PARCA) Roundtable, an executive board member with the Birmingham Museum of Art Junior Patrons, and a member of Rotaract Club of Birmingham.
