Public markets are taking the hardest hit in 2022, as economists and industry professionals are signaling for a bear market during the fourth quarter of 2022 and into 2023. Private middle market completed deal volume was down markedly through the third quarter of 2022; however, pricing multiples remained strong and comparable to 2021 averages.
